Robert studied graphic design and illustration in Bristol and graduated in 1982.
He has spent nearly all his adult life in the field of Design, Printing and Publishing.
As a graphic designer Robert has worked for an impressive list of clients, including: AXA, BMW, HTV, Royal Ordnance, AA Travel, Vickers plc , Sun Life, WHSmith and English Heritage.

Robert was previously a member of North Bristol Artists and designed and produced the art trail brochure/map and poster for several years.

Mockingbird Press is a member of Bristol Creatives.

Alongside his design career he has built up a considerable portfolio as an artist. His work has been exhibited at Mid Cornwall Galleries, CCA Galleries (Bath & Farnham), the Ginger Gallery (Bristol), A2 Gallery, Wells, Somerset and The gallery in the Square, Usk. His original pastel paintings and prints are currently being exhibited at Coldharbour Gallery, Bristol.
He has had his work featured in Artists & Illustrators Magazine and The Artist Magazine. He has also won the Caran d'ache award as part of the annual exhibition for The Artist magazine at Patchings Art Centre, Nottingham.
He has had his artwork published by award winning publishers Glebe Cottage, fine art publishers Artistic Britain, Star Editions, and The Royal Horticultural Society.

His original work can be viewed at selected galleries and shops in the UK and at various exhibitions.

Robert has spent time living in Cornwall and Bath, and now lives in his home town of Bristol, he has two children, a grand daughter and a collie dog called Gin.


After working for four years in the scanning department of an international printing company, in the Autumn of 2015, Louis decided to bow out of corporate life and join the staff at Mockingbird Press. Son of Robert and Sharon, Louis is a natural addition to the business, and has taken on the role of production director.

His focus is on such things as colour matching, printing assistance, canvas production, and general overall quality control. A passion for writing also allows him to act as an in-house copywriter, and it's his responsibility to keep Mockingbird Press present and accessible on social media.


Camilla studied Illustration in Florence and graduated in 2014. Her work has been exhibited in galleries in Florence, Rome, Naples and now Bristol.
In her art she likes to merge different influences based on her passion for wildlife, animals, traveling and performing arts. She also like to write and illustrate funny and surreal short stories, planning to publish them very soon.

She first met Robert and Louis as a client in 2015, and joined Mockingbird Press in 2016 as Production Account Executive.

Marta 2
A Graphic designer and professional painter since 2012 Marta moved to Bristol in 2015 inspired by the arty and collaborative spirit of the city. She currently designs art and merchandising for Bristol and London music collectives, at the same time developing her own portfolio and the aesthetic for her music band Camo Clave that is highly connected with the temperament of her illustrations.


Lauren is a Bristol-born artist with a passion for portrait painting in oils, experimenting with mixed media and often working from her own photography. She studied art throughout school and college, later attending the Bristol School of Art in 2012. Occasionally, she will exhibit her artwork at local cafe's/galleries, and some of her work can be found at the Upfest Gallery, North St. 

With a natural respect for artwork and attention to detail, Lauren successfully applied for the position of Production Assistant at Mockingbird Press in 2016.
